Pallisa, here we come! Community #8
AsOne is expanding to our newest location in Uganda: Pallisa District. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to purchase land for a school and health center at the end of 2024.
In 2025, we will begin building both a nursery & primary school and a health center directly addressing the critical needs in education and healthcare that have long limited the potential of this vibrant area.
Pallisa District, in Eastern Uganda, is home to over 400,000 residents, with a large, youthful population under 18. Despite its potential, the region faces significant barriers to quality education and healthcare and as part of our model, we are focusing on these two critical pillars by building a school and establishing a health center to address the region’s most pressing needs.
Nursery & Primary School: We will create a safe, nurturing environment where children can access Christ-centered and quality education, escape the cycle of poverty, and unlock opportunities for their future. This will help young students access opportunities that were not available to their parents and family. The school will provide trained teachers, modern resources, Christian curriculum, and a foundation for academic success.
Health Center: AsOne’s Healing Grace Medical Center — Pallisa will offer essential services like vaccinations, prenatal care, emergency services, labor & delivery, laboratory services, and treatment for communicable and transmissible illnesses, directly improving the quality of healthcare services in the region. Our health care focus is not only on addressing physical needs but also meeting patients’ spiritual needs through prayer, creating a safe environment, and addressing holistic patient needs.
This project is more than just immediate aid—it’s about creating permanent, sustainable, long-term change. The school and health center will:
Create Jobs: These facilities will generate employment for teachers, healthcare workers, and local support staff, boosting the local economy.
Drive Local Development: The construction of these buildings will stimulate growth in infrastructure, including roads, clean water systems, and electricity, improving overall living conditions in Pallisa.
Foster Social Resilience: By addressing the root causes of poverty—lack of education and healthcare—this project will build a more resilient community. Education and healthcare are the keys to long-term economic growth, helping families build brighter futures.
We’ve officially purchased land in Pallisa and are set to break ground in 2025. But we need your help to make this vision a reality. Together, we can help build a brighter future for the children and families of Pallisa.
