We broke ground!

We broke ground on our newest Nursery & Primary School.

You can see exactly where our new school is on this map here. This school is filling a significant need in Matuba, which is our newest AsOne community in Uganda.

Matuba is located in the District of Mayuge, which is in Eastern Uganda. It is a part of the Busoga region, known to be the poorest region in the country where 74% of the region are considered poor and insecure. The average child and woman walk nearly 2 kilometers to collect water. Nearly 25% of teenage girls become pregnant, according to UBOS—and 45% of children in Busoga live below the poverty line are forced out of school to work and supplement their parents' incomes.

But we know that access to quality, Christ-centered education changes lives.

While there are vast challenges in this Ugandan district, with your help there are solutions. Together, we can provide quality and sustainable education, health services, jobs, and opportunities, leading to transformative impact in Matuba and beyond.
