AsOne Grain Mill // Mayuge District
With over 70% of Uganda's working population employed in agriculture, the AsOne Mayuge Grain Mill has quickly become a vital business for local farmers. Before the mill, many farmers struggled to find affordable milling services, often traveling long distances or settling for lower market prices due to unprocessed grains. Now, with a local facility that mills maize, rice, and millet, farmers save time and money while securing better prices for their crops. Families are also able to buy food directly from the grain mill at affordable prices.
The mill employs eight full-time workers, providing stable jobs in roles ranging from machine operation to administration. Its impact extends beyond the mill itself—local transport services and shops are seeing increased business, further strengthening the local economy.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this possible. Your support has directly improved livelihoods and created lasting change in Mayuge.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
