Our Model

In each community, we use donations to build self-sustaining communities with a quality school, health center, and economic opportunities for families. This investment builds long-term programs, empowers local leaders, and solves major challenges affecting rural Uganda.

How it works

Invested Donations

It is simple yet powerful: donations are utilized to build and launch new communities in rural, underserved areas in Uganda.

Sustained Communities

We use Uganda earned revenue to sustain the day-to-day operational costs of programs, creating a pathway toward long-term community self-sustainability.

Transformative Impact

Programs are led by Ugandans who are addressing the greatest needs facing rural communities through education, healthcare, agricultural training, and job training.

Ugandans Empowering Ugandans

At the core, we believe our investment into communities mobilizes a movement of Ugandans empowering Ugandans. Our strategy brings dignified opportunities for the people of Uganda to address their country's most challenged places.

Addressing the major issues that face rural communities

As a result, our work is not only led by local Ugandans—they are driving lasting change in rural communities. Ugandan leaders are creating jobs, educating students, providing healthcare, training farmers, and expanding economic opportunities that strengthen communities for generations to come.

Discipleship

Our top priority is participating in God’s redemptive work. Discipleship to Jesus unites everything we do. From AsOne employees to alumni, we invest in their spiritual growth, tracking their engagement in spiritual practices, worship attendance, and Christian community.

Education

We believe in investing in the future of Uganda. Education is the foundation of our work and community development approach. By building financially sustainable schools, we develop engaged citizens, future leaders, and a skilled workforce to drive lasting change in Uganda.

Health

In rural areas, access to healthcare is often a challenge. AsOne health centers address this by providing quality, affordable care in hard-to-reach communities. From malaria treatment to prenatal care and community health programs, we prioritize dignity and quality in every service.

Economic Opportunities

In Uganda, there's a phrase we love: “Don't be job seekers; be job creators.” Through community businesses, farmer training programs, and job training opportunities, we are helping make that vision a reality. We are committed to creating jobs, strengthening local economies, and equipping families with the tools they need to increase income and build brighter futures.
